Born in Brooklyn and raised in Jersey, I carry over 7 years of school under my belt and hold a BFA in Graphic Design. Art and design have always been a crucial part of my life. From coloring when I was a child to taking every art class I could in high school, it's the only thing I ever really wanted to do. I studied all aspects of art in school, but a few others were photography, philosophy, illustration, and writing. My BFA show explored the evolution of the mind though my personal life experiences, by presenting a series of digital work that combined photography, poetry, and music. It was a journey to say the least.
Since I graduated in 2006, I've been freelancing and have experience in all types of graphic design and the arts, specializing in layout and album design. Through the years, I've been grateful for the work that has come my way and feel so lucky to be able to do what I love. I like to work with people from various fields which has given me a wide range of projects to apply my aesthetic. Although I am proud to say that 90% of my clients are women who all do a great service to their communities and beyond. Supporting them and helping their businesses become more successful through design means the world to me.
I have also written for Patch.com, as well as edited texts and books, so if you need writing copy or editing, just ask. I like to think that I bring a lot to the table when working with a client. Besides my skills and experience as a designer, my love for fine arts, photography, and stationery gives me a nice well rounded perspective when tackling a project.
I started my little stationery business because I have a love for paper, as well as event design. The process of creating and coordinating everything for my wedding back in 2012 truly inspired me to join the event field and I never turned back. Between this and client work I surely stay busy! In my Etsy shop you will find all the stationery you need for an event, as well as invitations for all types of celebrations. If you can't find what you are looking for, contact me to create a custom design just for you. For people on a tight budget, I often work out special rates for situations like this so don't hesitate to contact me.
I live and work in New York with my husband Dan, son Elliot (5.22.16), and 2 dogs. Both vegetarian and eco-consious, I do my best to live the most natural, organic life I can, and now create the same environment for my son. Besides design, my hobbies include photography, reading, writing, interior design, and cooking. I love music and used to play bass in a band when I lived in Jersey and of course I sing and dance every chance I get. Working with me is like teaming up with a friend, I am easy going, honest, and kind. My mission is to bring beauty to as many lives as I can through art and design and I look forward to working with you!
